Transcription of a narrative by Robert Clark Knaggs recounting work experiences on the Michigan Southern and Northern Indiana Railroad, building stage stations for the Butterfield Stage Line in Texas, 1857-1860 and his Civil War service with the Michigan 7th Infantry, May 1861 and time spent in Libby Prison. Typescript of biographical sketch of Dr. Robert Clark and his family by his mother's sister, Mrs. A.E. Kellogg in 1886. Dr. Clark came to Michigan about 1823, and administered the land offices at Monroe, Michigan Territory.
